Delete your account

YouOnIt is made by YouOnIt Limited. You can delete your account and its data at any time, and you do not need to ask us to do it.

Delete it yourself, in the app

  1. Open YouOnIt and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
  3. Confirm. You will be asked to sign in again first — that is deliberate, so nobody can erase your account from a phone you left unlocked.

Deletion happens straight away. There is no waiting period and nothing to cancel afterwards, so please be sure before you confirm.

If you own a table with other players in it

Transfer that table to someone else first — open the table, then Members, then transfer ownership. The app will tell you which tables are blocking you. This protects the other players: their chips and their round history live in that table, and a table nobody owns cannot be settled or closed.

If you no longer have the app

Email karum@youonit.co.uk from the address you signed up with, asking us to delete your account. We will confirm within 30 days, and usually much sooner. We may ask you to confirm the request from that same address — it is the only way we can be sure the request is really yours.

What gets deleted

Permanently, and immediately:

  • Your sign-in details — email address and password
  • Your profile — display name, username and profile photo
  • Your chip balance and your full transaction history
  • Your friends, friend requests and blocks, including your entry in other players’ friend lists
  • Your notification settings and your devices’ notification registrations
  • Your table settings and preferences

Your username is released when your account goes, so somebody else may take it afterwards.

What is kept, and why

  • Messages you sent in a squad chat stay in that conversation for the other people in it, no longer attached to a live account. We cannot remove one side of a conversation without rewriting other people’s history.
  • Results of tables and rounds you finished stay in the records of the players you played against, for the same reason.
  • Safety records, if you ever reported someone or were reported, are kept so that reports stay meaningful and bans cannot be escaped by making a new account.

None of this is linked to an active account once yours is gone, and none of it identifies you beyond the display name you used at the time.

Retention

Everything under “What gets deleted” is removed immediately when you confirm. There is no additional retention period for it.
